In one of CNPC gas reserviour well, a wireline team lost their cable in the well when the logging team trying to POOH after their job, the tool has stucked around 120 meters, and the logging teams tried various ways trying to release the tool without sucess, finally they give up and cut the cable. Katwell DHV has been deploied and checking what is happened inside the well and cause the LIH situation.

After the DHV has been runned inside the well, the operator has found the SSSV flapper is closed, and the flapper is the root cause of the tool stucked inside the well. The operator then open the flapper while monitor with DHV till its fully opened. By Katwell DHV video, the operator understand the halfly opened flapper is the root cause of the tool stuck and cable LIH thereafter.

SSSV flapper may halfly opened at rated pressure after every years of usage in underground due to corrosion and wearing, which leading to the fully open pressure higher than rated pressure.
